特点：棕黄色或淡青色块状，极易潮解。高温炼镁时，镁极易氧化而燃烧，在出炉时，加入适量粉状二号熔剂可阻止镁的燃烧。在精炼金属镁时，加入二号熔剂进行精炼，可从溶液中沉淀出杂质氧化物和氮化物。其精炼和覆盖性能比一号熔剂进一步提高。

用途：主要用于镁及镁合金的精练剂和保护剂及熔炼ZM5、ZM10合金时用作覆盖剂。
